Railway Town Public School is a P1 classified school located in Broken Hill in the Far West of NSW. Our school is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school with an enrolment number of 120 students. 36% of our students identify as First Nation. Our school has 7 mainstream classes from K-6 and one Multi-Categorical class.

All staff are dedicated to improving student outcomes through quality learning programs in literacy and numeracy as well as using innovative and inclusive programs outside of the classroom learning space. Our students are given the opportunity to participate in Aboriginal language, environmental projects, choir and SRC.

Railway Town Public School has a range of beginning and experienced staff, both permanent and temporary contracted. We employ additional staff through school based funding to better support the learning needs of all students.

The school has a strong connection with other local schools through sport, extra-curricular activities, professional development and transition programs. A mobile pre-school also operates on the school site 2 days per week.
