NSW schools offer special religious education (SRE) and/or special education in ethics (SEE) delivered by approved providers, where available.
During enrolment, you can choose an SRE option for your child and you can update your preference at any time by writing to the school or through the online form on the school's online enrolment page.
Visit the department’s website for more information about religion and ethics.
At Railway Town Public School, Special Religious Education is provided by SRE teachers from different Christian denominations and churches, authorised and trained by approved providers.
The approved providers in the combined arrangement are: Anglican Diocese of Riverina; Saltbush Evangelical Church (Broken Hill); Churches of Christ in NSW and ACT; and CRC Churches International NSW.
The Christian SRE curriculum is authorised by Saltbush Evangelical Church (Broken Hill).
Students ask questions, explore the Bible and discover the Good News of Jesus Christ and what it means to be a Christian in our world today. Lessons are age-appropriate and inclusive. Details can be found at http://cepconnect.com.au/curriculum.
Students not attending SRE will participate in other meaningful activities in a separate learning space. This could include reading, private study or completing homework.
